Notes on Energy and the Cosmos part I

The following is an excerpt from a collection of study notes I am currently making in regards to my pursuit of unifying the theories of Morphic Resonance and Acausal Physics into one workable system. Further research and notes will be compiled to produce a final hypothesis and philosophical tract, in a much more polished form- with which I will present my proposals. From there, collaboration and experimentation.

The parameters of the causal form are causal laws.

The causal form exists in a point in space as described by causal laws- a body or structure. This extends across time according to causal laws- the life cycle.

The acausal form exists in a point in time as described by acausal laws- the presencing of a nexion. This extends across space according to acausal laws- morphic resonance.

Intercausality= nexial point between acausal and causal, and the manipulation of the acausal by the mind, and the manipulation of the causal by the acausal thus.

Consciousness arises from an acausal increase.

The Cosmos (or to be more precise, the Cosmic Being) is in a way a living organism, far more complex and powerful than any other organism we have hitherto studied.

We are each nexions, focal regions of the Cosmos’ interaction between causal and acausal. This interaction, as explicated via evolution and organic growth, may very well be a natural part of the Cosmic Being’s cycle. A growth in which basic acausal parts manifest themselves into the causal world, where they grow in consciousness, via mechanisms such as natural selection and accumulative intelligence.

From this selection, more complex organisms arise, and thus more complex minds- from this we see an increase in consciousness and thus a move up the evolutionary chain. This move implies a growth of the Cosmic Being, perhaps until the organism in question becomes akin to the Cosmic Being itself, leading to further growth presently beyond the scope of understanding.

It is upon this basic knowledge that evolution then becomes a willed act, an act of consciousness- conscious evolution. Promethean Darwinism becomes the vehicle within which we attain such an evolution, to better respond to our environment, ourselves and the Cosmos

Evolution, via the increase of acausal charge within a causal form, functions on a selection of parameters and mechanisms, the principle of these being Ektropic Convergence. This is why lasers possess more power than a lightbulb, and why quartz can store energy, as opposed to an ordinary rock.

To reduce this model down to it’s basic and simplest conclusion, we can look at the simplest and most basic forms of life we know of; viruses.

A virus contains a crystalline shell and a strand of RNA. It is basically a crystal with a string of coherent information in the form of a coherent crystalline ordering of amino acids. Those amino acids in turn are not only coherently crystalline in structure, but like quartz crystals, amino acids are piezoelectric. Piezoelectric phenomenon is when a crystal has the ability to generate an electrical charge when pressure or force is applied to it.

An even simpler form than this is a crystal. Crystals represent the formation of atoms and molecules forming together in a distinctly coherent formation. Crystalline structures can be seen on all levels within living systems- from the atomic formation of protons and neutrons to DNA.

Rupert Sheldrake was the first Westerner to come up with what he named “Morphic Resonance,” and “Memory Fields”.
Sheldrake theorizes that there is a memory field of some sort around every physical thing, which contains a things material and evolutionary information or what memories a thing has collected over a stretch of time. He also goes further and states that these memory fields also even contains such information as a thing’s boiling point.

Sheldrake gives an example of when a new “species” of crystals were discovered. Scientists began working with these crystals and melting them. In the beginning stages these newly discovered crystals melted at erratic temperatures; unlike how most things we know have an established boiling point – water and iron boils at a fixed temperature, no matter where in the world the water or iron is. It was only after several years of this newly discovered crystal being melted and boiled did it seem to collectively equalize its species boiling point, and from then on, every one of those crystals boiled at the exact same temperature.

The theory of Morphic Resonance goes further and states that an organism has a memory field which has evolved over time within a certain climate and environmental condition, so that the morphic fields of each organism in its native habitat has evolved to thrive under those conditions. Thus in any place on earth where there is the same conditions, nature will conserve energy by simply propagating morphic fields it knows will thrive in such conditions, such that organisms that live and thrive in similar conditions will physically look very similar, even if they are not or were never physically connected or genetically related. Since Nature/Life is universal, nature will utilize this same method anywhere in the universe, so that if there were a planet that is very similar to the earth, its people would look like us, because their physical form is dictated by their morphic field.

To take this a step further, we can propose ‘acausal morphic forms’- acausal morphons, which act as the progenitor of causal forms and utilise the principles of emergence and ektropic convergence to presence themselves further into the physical realm, thus leading to greater complexity via evolution.

These acausal morphons must exist on all levels and thus be able to be detected in some discreet manner. Furthermore, morphic fields exist on a higher dimension and thus are not isolated to individual ‘tree field morphons’ or ‘horse field morphons’. Rather, such a morphon/morphic field permeates the causal in the same way a probability wave or a magnetic field would, though directed in a more conscious manner. This type of existence is of course unprecedented-as is all of acausal science and such morphonic behaviour needs to be studied and expanded upon.

Individuals such as Trevor Constable have capture footage of creatures existing outside of the visible light spectrum which may shed further light on the phenomena of morphonic behaviour of proto-organisms. Whether such organisms relate directly to morphons is unclear at present.

What do these amorphons acquire to grow? That is, what do they ‘feed’ on? Perhaps the answer is the most ubiquitous element in the universe: plasma.

Continuing from my studies on the nature of Life, I came across a compelling piece of video of the Helioviewer, which appeared to show something leeching plasma from the Sun’s surface. Telescope images captured of the sun on Monday (March 12, 2015) show what appears to be a planet-size shadowy object tethered to the sun by a dark filament. In the image sequence, a burst of brightly lit material can be seen erupting from the sun’s surface surrounding the dark object, after which the orb detaches from the sun and shoots out into space. The footage, a composite of images captured by the Solar Dynamics Observatory  and processed by scientists at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, has quickly garnered attention on YouTube, where viewers are suggesting it shows a UFO spacecraft refueling by sucking up solar plasma, or at the very least, the birth of a new planet.

However, according to NASA scientists, the feature is actually a little-understood, but frequently observed, type of solar activity called a “prominence,” and the way it is situated beneath another solar feature gives it its otherworldy appearance. The thread extending from the lower left edge of the sun in the video is known as a ‘prominence,’ a feature containing cooler, denser plasma than the surrounding 3.5-million-degree Fahrenheit corona, according to scientists at the Solar Physics Laboratory at NASA Goddard. It isn’t yet known exactly how prominences develop, but these dense plasma loops can extend from the sun’s surface thousands of miles into space. C. Alex Young, a solar astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center who runs a website called The Sun Today, explained that the prominence is situated below a tunnel-shape feature called a filament channel, saying that when you look at it from the edge of the sun, what you actually see is a spherical object. You’re actually looking down the tunnel. And this tunnel sits up top of the filament. Apparently, this is quite a common phenomenon.

As is often the case, the current mainstream scientific Mafia is desperate not to look foolish, and instead attempt an ad hoc explanation of what is being viewed here. The above ‘explanation’ simply said that the filament is a process that has been observed before but is of unknown cause….which an answer is not really at all. If these prominences are well known, where is the other body of evidence and footage showing this supposedly common event? Other self-styled debunkers have attempted to explain it as coronal activity. And while such activity does objectively look similar, there are stark differences. The coronal spherical effects are not round but elongated, like an egg and do not have the filaments attachments. We are led to believe we are looking down a plasmic ‘tunnel’ and the entrance to the tunnel is the sphere. This does not explain why solar activity clearly warps around and is dispersed by the spherical object. It is also unusual, given both observer cameras, at different angles, supposedly both looked down this ‘tunnel’ at the same time.

The main argument of the debunkers is that this is prominence phenomena. They then explain how much is known about such phenomena, believing that this addresses the matter. Given that these two instances are different, that is the same as calling an unknown species of cat a tiger because they look similar, then showing all the books we have on tigers as evidence. Stars are great sources of plasma, and according to the paradigm presented thus far, plasma is the first state of matter. Morphons would therefore be closer to an acausal-plasmic structure, and would do well to seek out plasma as a source of sustenance. Whether the plasma from stars is particularly beneficial due to unknwon effects produced has yet to be confirmered.

Now, with this image, we have compelling evidence- if this is indeed genuine and unexplainable le by today’s science- of these creatures; whether we call them aliens, plasmavores, Nekhala or whatever. Following the discovery of this, I found more evidence suggesting these entities had been observed before. Any cursory search for UFOs being documented around the sun show this is a phenomena. While many of these may be down to laymen not understanding solar activity, some of it indeed shows behaviour characteristic of intelligent entities.

Mathematics is essentially an abstract methodology and system of terminology which derives its comprehension and functionality through its connection of objective, quantifiable values (commonly represented as numbers or other similar symbols representing said quantifiable values).

Any framework can therefore be devised and utilised to relate a set of values/ abstract data and the rules of combination of such values.

Theta Mathematics is a system whereby one can appreciate the abstractions of consciousness and the process of evolution via their explication/abstraction.

Promethean Morality, Natural Law and Objective Cognition

“No herdsman and one herd; Everyone wants the same, everyone is the same; anyone who thinks differently goes voluntarily into the madhouse.”

A great number of philosophers have concerned themselves with the nature of morality; how humans formulate it and whether there are absolute moral definitions. Promethean Darwinists believe there are no ultimate moral definitions beyond those which exist eternally, in Nature. As conventional morals are created almost entirely by humans, they are not absolute, and any attempt to ascertain a moral absolution is fruitless.

An intrinsic level of emotive reactions exists within the psyche. These are based on notions of survival and collective well-being. Evolutionary psychology provides the basis for all human moral concepts. All compulsions and moral codes can be deduced within the evolutionary psychological paradigm. The question of morals should therefore be defined according to natural laws, the only objective set of values that can be said to exist.

Promethean Darwinism therefore does not concern itself with telling it’s adherents how to act and how to see the world, but encourage them to formulate their own code of ethics via an appreciation of natural law and a learning from one’s experiences, given that humans have the unique ability to formulate their own moral ethics. A learning through experience and adversity is the mark of a true, evolved human, and recourse to dogma is a crutch, a way for people to avoid the difficult questions of life and the self; an exploration and understanding of such subjects is thus the foundation for inner development.

Humans have the unique ability to formulate their own morality. We are thinking beasts, animated by a set of faculties other animals do not to possess in as much abundance; rationality, tribalism, forethought, idealism and so on. And to borrow a term, we are bogged down by the negative side of these faculties, by ‘causal abstractions’; and have been and will be until we simplify to the common root of truth; the fact of our existence within the Natural order. An appreciation of this allows us to understand we are subject to Natural Laws. Evolutionary psychology can be used to explain all human compulsion and provide insights into how to best conduct out lives.

This moral definition is an imperfect proposition; how many people smoke health-damaging cigarettes because it brings pleasure? Does a dog not eat poison if it is coated with sugar?

This compulsion, the desire to pursue pleasure for its own sake, and to determine such pleasure as the basis for moral reasoning, is false and is a by-product of evolution. The human psyche is geared toward rewarding the individual with pleasure in certain situations that aid survival. A pursuit of pleasure for its own sake is a deviation from natural law, the only law from which Man can truly draw his moral principles. The attempts to formulate a set of moral principles on anything other than natural law is doomed to eventual disaster. All great societies which have flourished have done so because of the adherence to a greater or lesser degree to natural law. Values alien to nature, such as egalitarianism and hedonism should be rejected, and values such as evolutionary striving and conquest should be embraced. Thus would Man be able to aid his evolution, as he has nullified its influence through the insulating comfort of ordered society. Man’s greatest invention, civilisation, can be his downfall if not balanced with the necessary Natural Law.

The attempts to formulate a set of moral principles on anything other than natural law is doomed to eventual disaster. All great societies which have flourished have done so because of the adherence to a greater or lesser degree to natural law. Values alien to nature, such as egalitarianism and hedonism should be rejected, and values such as evolutionary striving and conquest should be embraced. Thus would Man be able to aid his evolution, as he has nullified its influence through the insulating comfort of ordered society. Man’s greatest invention, civilisation, can be his downfall if not balanced with natural law.

Anti-Populist Ethic

Promethean Darwinism is largely unique among most modern, progressive philosophies in that it is anti-egalitarian.
Whereas other progressive philosophies profess a need to understand ethics, Promethean Darwinism is less concerned with such views. This is because the application of conscious evolution is theoretically corollary with an ascending state of objectivity, and therefore, a knowledge of ‘truth‘.
It is expected that along the hard path of conscious evolution, there will be failures, drop-outs, people who cannot learn from adversity and error, and will not ’hack it’. Such failures will be a sign that the path is working, ensuring a culling of prospectives, until a minority remain, the best of the best, who will In turn guide others and seed the next generation of Prometheans. Some will fail, others will succeed. Some may progress quicker, just as is evidenced in Nature.

Promethean Darwinism is clear on the issues that need to be addressed in order to improve current issues:

i) The establishment of an economy to replace the current economic paradigm which works on an outdated system of scarcity and thus creating hardship and poverty when such maladies are unnecessary and counter-productive to the pursuit of conscious evolution.

ii) The implementation of a codified ethic which ensures a system of governance that rewards progress and innovation, known as a Progressive Meritocracy

iii) The active promotion and pursuit of conscious evolution to achieve a new level of human understanding and potential.

These 3 points are the basis of necessity in order to truly advance humanity and human society. No external work can ultimately benefit society while humanity is a largely greedy species due to the obsolete economic and social structures we currently function within. Evolution must be a conscious, individual process, enacted over a long period of time. This is where Promethean Darwinism ultimately differs from the myriad ‘human potential movements’, which are, on the whole, temporal, transient fads aimed at making money.

Heresy Syndrome

As for the egalitarian issue, it is obvious human understanding is propelled by an innovative few, a promethean minority, who through diligent research (and who are often shunned for their creativity and daring of belief) change our view of the world and propel technological ability (Galileo, Copernicus, Bruno etc).
The innovations of the dedicated few have thus brought us to our current level of understanding. And the theme which runs throughout this odyssey of progress and discovery is one of a growing objectivity to the world, as if we are blind creatures, having layers pulled off one at a time, until we begin to see the very architecture of the cosmos. This is why Promethean Darwinism is not a “mass movement”. Progress lies in the hands of those dedicated to progress, not compromise. And the life-refining and at times, challenging aspects of conscious evolution are often too much for the casually curious. This objectivity is no doubt an inherent factor in the attainment of evolution, and it is this belief that underpins the technique of Objective Cognition.

The Technique of Objective Cognition

Objective Cognition is a technique used in the philosophy of Promethean Darwinism to identify and dissolve the personal and ethical constructs the mind creates and uses to build up a subjective paradigm, colouring a persons way of seeing the world and limiting their understanding and appreciation of life itself.
It is used to gain familiarity with a higher level of thinking and to realise the individual mind set for the limiting construct it is.

The process consists of dialectical, and often adversarial/parallel thinking techniques, designed to snap the thinker out of pre-conceived habits and thought patters. The classical methods of arguing for and against a point within a debate environment are utilised and pushed to their utmost limit, until the individual is literally indifferent to the issue at hand. This ethical iconoclasm encourages one to recognise the transience and paradox of ethical models, and transcend the concepts of duality which have coloured human thought and belief for millennia.
Restricting one’s self by the thought patterns and morality of an unfulfilled human mindset will surely restrict a true development of the mind, and in time, the species as a whole.

The Democratic Fallacy

Most people in the West believe they live under a Democracy. This is not so. The system we have in place is grossly differently from the concept, and this is due to many reasons.
Our method of democratic governance had it’s inception in ancient Greece. The word ’Democracy’ means ’rule by many’. And the reasons why Democracy flourished in ancient Greece were-

Democracy was a creation of it’s time, and not an adopted practise from a previous culture (as it is with Western civilisation). Modern man exists as a collective whole, who pursue only their immediate desires, leaving the important decisions in the hands of a selected minority.

It is this lack of a common vision and ambition which has caused so much strife and led to the state we find ourselves in today. We pride ourselves on our technological achievements, but these are merely trappings to a slowly fading image of what we could be.

Promethean Darwinism proposes an alternative to the baroque pseudo-democratic system currently employed. The proposed system is known as a Progressive Meritocracy, a co-operative system which ensures all humans are at liberty to pursue conscious evolution without worry of economic burden.

How this is to be implemented shall be outlined in the future.

Beyond Earth

I-A Proposal of Future Ideas

Man is a bridge- a connection, a nexion, between this world and the world of origin. This origin, the acausal, is what gives rise to life and the faculty of consciousness. And it is through an apprehension and an exploration of the acausal nature of the self that we come to evolve ourselves.

With an increase of knowledge of the acausal within ourselves, we elevate our consciousness, and see the world in a much different way, akin to the difference between Man and Animal.

Through a harnessing of the power of the acausal, we develop our latent faculties and we come to understand how Life presences itself in this world. Through harnessing the power of the acausal we come to understand the nature of all living things and thus gain a deeper empathy with all Life.

Through harnessing the power of the acausal, we come to understand how to create a technology which can take us to the stars.


Acausal Technology and Galactic Imperium

It is this desire, this urge to expand which characterises all Life, and the only fitting expansion for a species as unique as Man is one beyond the planet which gave birth to Him.

The galaxy is rich with possibility, new challenges to overcome, new worlds to explore and new ways of living. This is all in our grasp. All we have to do is dare to achieve it.

The development of an acausal technology must go hand in hand with the development of Man through the application of Physis and Promethean Darwinism. Only through such evolution can we truly be fit to roam the stars.

Modern man is a conflicted creature-we burn the remains of dead animals for fuel, we test our synthetic, unnatural creations on our fellow animals, we kill one another for creeds creagted by imperfect minds for imperfect societies, and live enslaved to ideas once meant to emanicpate us. We cannot contiune like this if we are to survive beyond a few more centuries.


II- Developing Acausal Machines

Ektropy

A truly organic technology uses one type of acausal matter, living matter, and its changes, or growth, in a living way to produce an organic machine made entirely of organic matter, with no dead, discrete, manufactured components – electronic or otherwise […] Such a truly organic technology would enable us, for instance, to build or create an organic space-ship capable of travelling between the stars, with this ship being a living, existing, being, capable of living or existing in interstellar space, and having some kind of symbiotic and probably caring relationship with its crew or its controller.”

Aristotle believed living creatures possessed their own inherent Will, and this allowed them to initiate independent movement; “For Nature is in the same genus as potency; for it is a principle of movement – not however, something else, but the thing itself.”

There are 6 forms of  movement according to Aristotle:

Generation, destruction, increase, diminution, alteration and change of place.

Movement here can be translated with what I believe Aristotle no doubt intended to mean – inherent process

This Will was the Eidos or Psyche. The Eidos initiating inherent process is identical to acausal energy. The phenomenon of inherent process is a puzzle to modern science, which is driven on a reductionistic, scientific determinism. This paradigm posts that nothing possesses purpose, and that consciousness is merely a by-product of  brain function. The Universe, and everything in it, is a grand monument to Chance.

However, it is clear that consciousness is more than just a neural by-product, particularly in it’s ability to objectively affect the world, be it quantum experiments or through morphic resonance and other intercausal phenomena.

“We shall naturally look round in vain the macrophysical world for acausal events, for the simple reason that we cannot imagine events that are connected non-causally and are capable of a non-causal explanation. But that does not mean that such events do not exist… The so-called “scientific view of the world” based on this can hardly be anything more than a psychologically biased partial view which misses out all those by no means unimportant aspects that cannot be grasped statistically.”

For you or I to move requires a concerted, willed effort to redirect our entire being contrary to it’s natural state of rest. This very act refutes scientific determinism.

The faculty of this inherent process of Being is a puzzle to modern science (though many scientists will give  half-baked refutations of this statement which fall apart on further scrutiny). The universe is, according to this paradigm, a superb monument to Chance.

Modern science is based on the slowly outdating reductionist approach. In this paradigm, nothing possesses purpose and consciousness is merely a mysterious by-product of neural activity. Technology based upon this paradigm has revealed much about the world, but it has failed in the most important aspect- explaining why we are here.

The creation of a new, organic technology relies upon an understanding of how organic matter functions. Such a technology has not arisen withing the prevailing models of science, and thus a new model is to be proposed- the theory of the acausal.

Such a technology, based upon the laws of acausal matter, must have certain laws and parameters which they adhere to. Among these proposed laws are certain axioms, these axioms being:

  1.  Ektropic Convergence
  2. Intercausality.
  3. Morphic Resonance
  4. Synthetic Biology

 Ektropic Convergence- A Living Systems Mechanic

Ektropic Convergence is a principle rooted in the acausal paradigm used to explain the self organizing properties of Life as well as some of Life’s most fundamental processes.

Ektropy (denoted as ‘Δk’) is the process by which φ (being used here to refer to the phenomenon of Life and it’s related self-organising qualities) attains a greater coherence and integrity as an inherent process.

Ektropy may thus be said to be the process by which φ increases in order (Δk=φ^n∈λ) over a certain period of φt in a specific region of φs. This mechanic is a symmetrical counterpart to the process of entropy (Δs), by which order decreases within a closed system over time. As such, it provides a wholistic ‘answer’ to one of the more deterministic causal laws.

Δk could thus be said to represent the increase of φ within the causal, and cam be used in conjunction with my own nexion mechanic equation, given elsewhere in my writings.

Werner Heisenberg once asked “What is life?”

Many current theories attempt to explain the phenomena of Life in terms of materialism and reductionism, going so far as to propose consciousness as being a by product of neural activity. These suggestions do not explain certain questions such as; why Life violates the 2nd law of Thermodynamics and why Life has an inherent level of self-organization.

Among some of the supposed criteria are the following;

  • A living metabolises and processes chemicals to gain energy (as does Jupiter’s Great Red Spot)
  • It reproduces (as do crystals and bush fires)
  • It has organised complexity and is composed of complex independent parts(as do cars and other technological inventions)
  • It grows and develops (as does rust)
  • It contains information and passes such information along (like a computer).
  • A living system must be contained withing a finite boundary (causally speaking).

As can be seen, these widely held criteria can be applied to many non-living systems, and whilst they describe what living systems do, they do not adequately describe what living systems are.

Here is the standard explanation for where Life comes from:

In 1953, Miller performed the following experiment:

In a vase, he put chemicals that he supposed to make up the primordial earth atmosphere. Then he put the mixture under electrical sparks to simulate lightning.  He drained the result and found (a very small amount) of amino-acid – thr building blocks of living cells.

He boldly proclaimed that he showed that this is how life began.

Miller and subsequent scientists have used this experiment to ‘prove’ reductionist theories of life.

What they fail to notice is that Miller never went further than synthesising amino acids (because he could not). Amino acids are not life, and they certainly do not constitute consciousness.

Miller’s experiment was done in 1953 and assumed that the primitive Earth atmosphere consists of Hydrogen (H2), Nitrogen (N2), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Water (H2O), Ammonia (NH3), and Methane (CH4). Furthermore, Miller assumed that the was no oxygen (O2) (he had to, because when you add O2 to the mixture, one spark and the whole atmosphere will blow up).

Also, hydrogen is very light and will rise to the upper layers of the atmosphere very rapidly – in other words, hydrogen will not be present in the lower layers where the chemical reactions occur.

Since there is no oxygen in the atmosphere (this is necessary condition for the Miller experiment – when oxygen is present along with methane, lightning will cause a huge fireball) there is no ozone layer to filter out the high energy rays from the sun.

In the 1960’s Geologists questioned whether the primitive Earth Atmosphere had these gases. By mid 1975, Biochemist Marcel Florkin declared that the assumption of the primitive earth Atmosphere was wrong.

In 1995, Science magazine reported that experts now dismissed Miller’s experiment because the primitive Earth Atmosphere was nothing like what Miller had assumed. Hydrogen would have escaped into deep space, Ammonia and Methane are easily obliterated by ultraviolet light from the sun.

Life is unique in that possesses the faculty of change- evolution. Living beings are also autonomous. This is a major principle, though many scientists are trying to do away with this faculty, suggesting we are not really in charge of what we do, that we are wholly deterministic beings, with the illusion of free will. Such a reality would do away with the very faculty of consciousness itself. But as can be seen, that is not the case. This attempt to understand Life from it’s basic constituent parts is known as synthetic biology, which whilst holding remarkable fruits in the fields of gene alteration and novel methods of system development, cannot readily explain Life itself. Life, according to tired, slowly outdating theories, should not exist. Yet it clearly does.


Intercausality

All matter is derives from and is of varying densities of a singular substance I call Phaeon. Phaeon cannot be measured by current, ordinary scientific measuring devices that I am aware of, but I propose it is directly analogous to, and perhaps even identical with that elusive phenomenon we call thought.

What divides inert matter from conscious matter? An inhabiting of consciousness within a certain form. To dissolve this dichotomy- this dualism inherent in all current theories- I suggest all matter possesses some form of consciousness and the greater the consciousness, the greater the conscious expression, leading at some threshold to the phenomena we call Life. An example of this pervasion of consciousness at all levels has been demonstrated in the ‘Backster Effect’.

The Backster Effect

In the 1960s Cleve Backster, an Interrogation Specialist with the CIA, conducted research that led him to believe that plants can communicate with other lifeforms. Backster’s interest in the subject began in February 1966 when he tried to measure the rate at which water rises from a philodendron’s root into its leaves. Because a polygraph or ‘lie detector’ can measure electrical resistance, which would alter when the plant was watered, he attached a polygraph to one of the plant’s leaves. Backster stated that, to his immense surprise, “the tracing began to show a pattern typical of the response you get when you subject a human to emotional stimulation of short duration”.

In 1975 K.A. Horowitz, D.C. Lewis and E.L. Gasteiger published an article in Science giving their results when repeating one of Backster’s effects – plant response to the killing of brine shrimp in boiling water. The researchers grounded the plants to reduce electrical interference and rinsed them to remove dust particles. As a control three of five pipettes contained brine shrimp while the remaining two only had water: the pipettes were delivered to the boiling water at random. This investigation used a total of 60 brine shrimp deliveries to boiling water while Backster’s had used 13. Positive correlations did not occur at a rate great enough to be considered statistically significant. Backster criticized them for misunderstanding certain fundamentals of what he termed “primary perception”, such as that the time spent watering the plants and rinsing their leaves might have affected their relationship to the experimenters.

Intercausality and Monism

The pre acausal model of Intercausality proposes reality founded and pervaded by a matrix of energy called ‘phaeon’ which is the ‘stuff’ of thought, and allows thought to interact with reality. As such, Intercausality is essentially a monist theory of nature, proposing a single ultimate substance, which manifests as consciousness, thought being the active agent of change via this medium.

As Max Planck wrote: All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force… We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.

Wikipedia describes Monism as;  […]the philosophical view that a variety of existing things can be explained in terms of a single reality or substance. The wide definition states that all existing things go back to a source which is distinct from them (e.g. in Neoplatonism everything is derived from The One). A commonly-used, restricted definition of monism asserts the presence of a unifying substance or essence. This theory complements the idea of

Pantheism and other related philiosphies (such as Neo-Platonism), as well as Hindu mysticism, which speaks of Brahman, an all pervading essence of which everything is underpinned by and derived from. In the Greek speaking world, Monism was popular, especially among the Pre-Socratics. Thales describes this single source as water; Heraclitus describes it as fire, though th two are perhaps identical in their symbolism of constant movement and Change. Anaxmander called it Apeiron, an ‘undefinable infinite’.

Phaeon and Morphic Fields

Pheaon can be considered to  be expressed in the morphic fields of Rupert Sheldrake’s theory of Formative Causation and it’s mechanics of morphic resonance (and of course it would have to explain morphic fields if it were a true monist theory, encapsulating all phenomena).   Sheldrake is unable to explain where morphic fields generate and originate from. A theory has been proposed by Amit Goswami of the Institute of Theoretical Science at the University of Oregon. This explanation takes the approach of a quantum origin, but loops back round to the primacy of consciousness (as I have proposed); “The measurement problem is squarely resolved when we turn the metaphysics of science upside down and posit consciousness as the ground of all being and thus — having causal efficacy — downward causation. What else can we say about a consciousness that collapses the quantum possibility wave into actuality? All objects are quantum objects.

Therefore, any machine — such as the ones called “measurement apparatuses” that we use to amplify a quantum phenomenon — itself becomes a possibility wave (a superposition of Macroscopically distinguishable possibilities) when in contact with micro-quantum possibility waves that they purport to measure. This includes such measurement apparatuses in our brain. Consciousness can collapse the whole conglomerate because it transcends the material Universe. Does such collapse constitute mind over matter? No, consciousness transcends the brain, whose states exist as possibilities within consciousness before collapse. Collapse consists of recognition and choice of one of these possibilities.” [Amit Goswami, A Quantum Explanation Of Morphic Resonance]

I thus posit that morphic fields are connected to Phaonic energy.This is an attempt to unify the various theories which point toward a primacy of consciousness. Exact mathematical models and mechanics have not been fully worked out at the time of writing.

Sheldrake talks of morphic fields forming by habit and repetition of form, which aligns perfectly with my theories on acausal gravity and phaeonic imprinting; “According to the hypothesis of formative causation, morphic fields also contain an inherent memory given by the process of morphic resonance, whereby each kind of thing has a collective memory. For example, crystals of a given kind are influenced by all past crystals of that kind, date palms by past date palms, giraffes by past giraffes, etc. In the human realm this is similar to Jung’s theory of the collective unconscious“.  Morphic Resonance

Morphic resonance is a process whereby self-organising systems inherit a memory from previous similar systems. In its most general formulation, morphic resonance means that the so-called laws of nature are more like habits. The hypothesis of morphic resonance also leads to a radically new interpretation of memory storage in the brain and of biological inheritance. Memory need not be stored in material traces inside brains, which are more like TV receivers than video recorders, tuning into influences from the past. And biological inheritance need not all be coded in the genes, or in epigenetic modifications of the genes; much of it depends on morphic resonance from previous members of the species. Thus each individual inherits a collective memory from past members of the species, and also contributes to the collective memory, affecting other members of the species in the future.[1]

This hypothesis was first put forward in A New Science of Life by Rupert Sheldrake.

All behaviour and form within the natural world can be said to have it’s origin within these morphic fields. Rupert Sheldrake has proposed and performed many experiments which he claims verifies his theory.

Sheldrake’s morphic resonance posits that “memory is inherent in nature” and that “natural systems, such as termite colonies, or pigeons, or orchid plants, or insulin molecules, inherit a collective memory from all previous things of their kind”. Sheldrake proposes that it is also responsible for “telepathy-type interconnections between organisms”. His advocacy of the idea encompasses paranormal subjects such as precognition, telepathy and the psychic staring effect as well as unconventional explanations of standard subjects in biology such as development, inheritance, and memory.[2]

The hypothesized properties of morphic fields at all levels of complexity can be summarized as follows:

1. ​They are self-organizing wholes.

2. ​They have both a spatial and a temporal aspect, and organize spatio-temporal patterns of vibratory or rhythmic activity.

3. ​They attract the systems under their influence towards characteristic forms and patterns of activity, whose coming-into-being they organize and whose integrity they maintain. The ends or goals towards which morphic fields attract the systems under their influence are called attractors. The pathways by which systems usually reach these attractors are called chreodes.

4. ​They interrelate and co-ordinate the morphic units or holons that lie within them, which in turn are wholes organized by morphic fields. Morphic fields contain other morphic fields within them in a nested hierarchy or holarchy.

5. ​They are structures of probability, and their organizing activity is probabilistic.

6. They contain a built-in memory given by self-resonance with a morphic unit’s own past and by morphic resonance with all previous similar systems. This memory is cumulative. The more often particular patterns of activity are repeated, the more habitual they tend to become.[3]

It is this evolutionary view of the universe which suggests the cosmos is more like an organism as opposed to a machine. This parallels the acausal interpretation of the Cosmic Being.
